It has the highest density of period castles and chateaux in all of Europe. Prague’s location in the heart of Europe means that no filming location is too distant.

Prague has doubled for many major European cities, including Paris, Vienna, Berlin, Oslo, even period London. Streets with a maze of architectural styles, from Gothic cathedrals and Baroque palaces to extravagant Art Nouveau. The Prague’s selective mix of styles together with the variety of landscapes throughout the country means that almost every location need can be satisfied.

We cooperate with Smecky Recording Studio that is located in the center of Prague. The studio’s history goes back to the 1940s. In 1947, the Film Symphony Orchestra was established and for several decades provided the musical recordings for the Barrandov Film Studio, Kratky Film, and Czechoslovak Television. Since 1990, Smecky Recording Studio has adopted the „Hollywood model“, offering comprehensive recording services – with conductors, audio experts, musicians, and music scorers. The large studio space can accommodate an entire symphonic orchestra and chorus. The latest technology provides clients with the highest level of acoustic quality. Studio is equipped for recording all musical film genres as well as video materials with Dolby Stereo recordings. Projects done in Smecky Studio include Lost Highway (David Lynch), The Ninth Gate (Roman Polanski), Todo sobre mi madre (Pedro Almodovar) and we have done there projects incl. our production Normal the Dusseldorf Ripper (Julius Ševčík, music by Jan P. Muchow) and Korean films such as Champion (Kwak Kyung-taek) or Blue Swallow aka Cheong Yeon (Yun Jong-chan, music by Michael Staudacher).
